J.S. Bach: Fantasias; Capriccio BWV992; Prelude and Fugue BWV 894.

RELEASED 1987

In 1979, Jean Louis Steuerman was a prizewinner at the Johann Sebastian Bach competition in Leipzig. However, his involvement with the composer's music started much earlier: his first-ever public recital comprised the complete set of the beautiful 2-part inventions.

For his third recording, released in 1987, Steuerman chose a unique selection of Bach pieces. These not only showcase the diversity of the composer's music but also highlight his virtuosic approach to keyboard writing.

Repertoire: Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue BWV 903; Capriccio BWV992; Fantasia and Fugue BWV 904; Fantasia BWV 906; Prelude and Fugue BWV 894.
